MORNING SESSIONS - The Half Day Sand driving course has been designed to allow you time to get to know and control your vehicle in sandy conditions, such as sand tracks and hills. This training group is capped at 4 vehicles, allowing for plenty of interaction and learning time with your instructor. This course is broken down into hands on, practical segments throughout the half day that will assist you in preparing for your four wheel drive endeavors in a fun and relaxed environment while developing your "skills to choose your own adventure".

Please note: The course is $230.00 per vehicle and a maximum two persons.

MATES RATES: Book your mates under the same booking on the same training day and receive 10% discount for one mate and 15% discount for two mates off the TOTAL BILL

Half Day Sand Driving Itinerary

Meeting Place: Corner of Spence Rd and Ziatas Rd, Pinjar WA 6077

Morning course 07:30AM - 11:30AM

  • Pre Start vehicle check
  • Understand how a four wheel drive works
  • Environmental impact
  • How to get the best out of your 4x4 in sandy conditions
  • Understanding the importance of tyre pressures
  • Understanding the difference between external bead lockers (split rims) and internal bead lockers (standard  safety rims)
  • Practical driving on sand tracks and hills
  • Introduction to basic recovery equipment

Experience:

  • Driving Participants must be 17 years and over and must have P-plate licence or above
  • No four wheel drive experienced required

What to bring:

  • Download our Course Registration and Disclaimer Form and have it ready for us on arrival
  • A licensed, insured and roadworthy 4WD
  • Your current Australian drivers license
  • A full tank of fuel
  • Any recovery equipment you have already purchased
  • Food and drinks as required for the day, including water (no alcohol)
  • Any personal medication you may need (including allergies ie EpiPen etc)
  • Suitable clothing i.e. Hat, sunscreen, wet weather gear, enclosed strong shoes (no thongs or open sandals
  • Insect repellant
